I guess our community lacks a central place for putting up good tutorials related to Ubuntu. I think adding this under 'Get going' section is ok. I'm now gonna discuss a few commands, that i know in ubuntu. Its mainly for beginner's, sorry geeks may find it boring... [:)]

List of useful commands-
- uname -a =>To print all system information
- find -depth -name "*.sh" =>To search for all the files with the extension 'sh',in a folder, and its sub-folders
- lsb_release -d =>To print the linux OS and its version you're using
