Once done, try to ping your gateway.</p> <p>If you are successful in connecting to the gateway, next step is to install the Sify dialer for Linux. I think Sify has changed its server settings for better, so that you see their own page if you are not logged in to their network. Try browsing any site in Firefox, and you should see Sify's page where you can download their software for Linux.</p> <p>I recommend using <a href="http://thegoan.com/supersify/" rel="nofollow">http://thegoan.com/supersify/</a> instead of Sify's dialer. You will need Java 6 to use it. I suggest you first log in to Sify using Windows and then boot into Ubuntu without logging out of Sify.
