			<description>&#60;p&#62;go to appilications on left top cornor... go to add/remove programs... be sure you re connected to the net...if u r using wi fi then on top right cornor near left to volume button there is a connection icon right click on it and uncheck the enable connection... the signal must be detected... or else ... go to applications ... top right... add and remove.... there  internet tab... browse for wireless client.&#60;/p&#62;

			<description>&#60;p&#62;go to system - administration - update manager.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;check and install updates. this should update the repos list.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;after, install vlc media player from the ubuntu software center and it should play everything.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Alternatively, you can use an alternate install cd if u cant connect to any of ubuntu servers.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;hello ,everybody ; i am new to linux ,i have installed ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop HCL K30  , i have two problems ,one with display means i am not able to get resolution more than 800x600 and other is when i tried to play MP3 files ,package manager opens and prompt for downloading when i click there , after some time i got a message that we failed to fetch us.archive.ubuntu.com   something like that , i am connected to internet using wi-fi in my college and it is using proxy. but in windows i was able to update my windows through windows update. now to play MP3 ,VCD,DVD files i need packages to download , i can&#38;#39;t download them manually because it is very tidy .PLEASE ANYONE HELP ME,
